We are so excited to pair up with Clark High School to offer a unique educational opportunity to 4th and 5th graders here at Hedgcoxe! Around 30 Hedgcoxe students will be selected to participate. Each Hedgcoxe student will be paired up with a Clark student and will exchange handwritten letters throughout the school year. All letters will be turned into the counselor and checked over before being sent. Clark students' letters will also be checked over before being sent. Students may write about any school appropriate topic they wish. Students will not share any personal information. At the end of the year students will get the opportunity to meet their pen pal face-to-face at a school organized event! This is a great program for any student wishing to make a new friend, work on their communication skills, or practice their writing skills. This is a full year commitment, so once a student is chosen they are expected to write letters all year (about 4-5 letters total). Letters can be written at home, or at school during teacher approved work time!
