Professional Information

In order to prepare to be an educator, I have taken-and currently taking-classes at Louisiana Tech University where each class has a different overall learning objective,to help me build skills that I will later use in my classroom.

Job Experience:

1. Employee at Emmanuel Baptist Preschool/Summer camp for three years: I have worked at this preschool every summer since I was 17. When I first started, because I was under age, I worked the hallway making sure that the children would get to their classrooms safely, keeping an eye on the kids if their primary teacher had to step out, and working the pick-up and drop-off which line giving me a closer relationship with the parents. Once I became  of age, I then would serve as the "break teacher" or a substitute in the event that the primary teacher could not come in. 

2. Employee at the Early Childhood Education Center of Louisiana Tech University(ECEC):  I worked here my first year at Tech for my work-study program. Working here was a great experience to be around children in a real classroom to see how they react to different situations, teaching styles and different forms of discipline.
