Piecing Me Together

In this poem about our main character Jade,  it discusses how at peace and she has become with her blackness. To where not only is she accepting it but she is embracing it. She understand that her dark skin is not something that needs to be hidden or masked but that her skin is her trophy and she should be proud of it. She pushes through and preservers at all things despite the odds against her.
