Screen printing is among the most flexible printing processes, and it can be used to print a wide range of substrates, consisting of paper, board, plastics, vinyl, glass, metal, textiles, and numerous other products.
The screen printing process consists of 3 aspects: the screen which is the image provider, the squeegee and ink. The procedure uses a permeable mesh tightly extended and glued onto a metal frame. A stencil is produced on the screen either manually or photo chemically.
Screen printing ink is applied to the substrate by placing the screen over the material. Ink is positioned onto screen and after that forced through the fine mesh openings using a squeegee that is drawn across the screen, applying pressure thus forcing the ink through the open locations of the screen. Ink will pass through just in locations where the stencil is open, hence forming an image on the substrate.
