Reimbursement is the process by which healthcare providers receive payment for services they have delivered to patients. It involves the compensation for medical expenses incurred by providers when treating patients, typically following the submission of claims to insurance companies, government health programs, or directly from patients.

The funds are disbursed by: Once the claim is approved the insurance company or government program disburses the agreed upon funds to the healthcare provider.
