We welcome submissions that articulate the authors' thoughts about, experiences of and vision for HDI. Topics may include (but are not limited to):
The role of HDI in visualization, and vice versa;
Kinds of interactions people want to have with their data;
The differences and synergies between HDI and HCI;
Mental models and how people think about (and with) their data
Implications for visualization and visual analytics design;
Implications for data collection, data curation, and data access;
Case studies and practical HDI lessons from the trenches;
Data and visualization outside the workplace; and
Future research directions for HDI.
We encourage a variety of submission formats, including:
Position paper: 1-2 pages, articulating a point of view related to HDI.
Case study: 1-2 pages, documenting one or more HDI examples.
Open format submission: for example, an artwork, comic strip, or short video. Multimedia submissions should be no longer than 3 minutes. Please include a title and brief description with your open format submission.
