When will my dancer’s picture be taken?

The schedule for picture day will be posted above.  Every class will take a full class photo.  Please arrive and be ready to go at the start time of your block of pictures.

Where will the pictures be taken?

Pictures will be taken at the HD Academy Studio.

Who will take the pictures?

Evan Schwanke will be the studio photographer this year.  

Is participation mandatory?

No, but every dancer is highly encouraged to participate so that a complete group photo can be taken.

Am I obligated to buy photos?

No, purchasing pictures is completely optional. Please do NOT have your dancer take an individual picture if you do not plan on purchasing them.  If you plan to purchase photos, please fill out the order forms (one per dance) prior to arrival and include your payment.  Order forms will be handed out in class the week before.

What does my dancer need on picture day?

• Costume, required tights, dance shoes and any accessories for each dance.  Come in street shoes and then change shoes when you arrive so your dance shoes don’t get ruined outside!

• Recital hair and makeup should be done according to the costume information sheet.

• Extra hairspray, bobby pins, makeup, safety pins, etc.

What if my dancer needs to change?

There will be rooms in the studio designated as dressing rooms available for dancers who are in multiple dances.
