Hoke County High School Band Volunteers are a parent support organization dedicated to advocating the value of music education, from elementary through high school, and providing volunteer and financial support for students and directors in the band program.
The Hoke County High School Band Volunteers are a dedicated group of parents who volunteer their time and talent to ensure the success of the band program. Parental help is essential for our children's success.
The Band Volunteers will help with the basic operations of the program (publicity, concert ticket sales, organizing events) along with fundraising and recruitment. We will support ALL performing band groups including the Jazz Bands, Wind Ensemble, Marching Band, and Drumline, as well as other music opportunities and the Solo & Ensemble contest.
All band parents are encouraged to participate. Whether you can just spare an occasional hour or would like to chair an activity... WE NEED YOU!
The General Band Volunteer meetings are normally held on the second Tuesday of each month and begin at 7:00 PM in the auditorium - all band boosters (including Visual Ensemble and academic band parents) are welcome and encouraged to attend the General Band Volunteer meetings. The board meets in the band room at 7:00 PM on the fourth Tuesday of each month and are also open to all Volunteer members.
Volunteer meetings are a great way to meet other parents passionate about the band, stay up-to-date on upcoming band activities, and get answers to any questions you may have. While we do not publish Volunteer board minutes for the public, they are available upon request. Contact the Volunteer Secretary for any board meeting minutes.
