Why Theater?

You may be thinking to yourself "I get nervous speaking in front of people," "I'm uncomfortable being on stage," or "I'm just not good at memorizing lines." That's okay! Theater is a way to get out of your comfort zone and express yourself. You'll be able to combine your creativity with a mix of social and communication skills to help better build your confidence with public speaking. This newfound confidence will allow you to take bigger risks in not just your performances, but in your overall life. You will also learn some team building and collaboration skills as well as problem solving skills all while having fun!

What if acting just isn't for me?

Being in theatre doesn’t always mean that you have to act, there are so many possibilities! There are many crew positions that are involved in the successful making of a show. Throughout the year, we will go over various positions that make up a theater production such as:

Costuming

Hair & Make-Up

Lighting

Sound
