The Hudson Bend choirs, under the direction by Mr. Brian DeCou, cover a variety of songs from classical to the latest pop songs on the radio. Even though in choir we sing songs we do just a little bit more than that. One, we learn how to sing, just like you are going to learn how to play an instrument, learn about art or theater. Two, we learn how to read music. There are also opportunities to sing solos in choir for the ones who are up for the challenge. In our choir program we have four different choirs. There’s a mixed sixth grade choir, we have a 7th/8th Grade Junior Varsity Choir, a 7th/8th Grade Girls Varsity Choir and a 7th/8th Grade Boys Varsity Choir. The HBMS Choir has four concerts a year ranging from Holiday Music in December to our Spring Pop concert in May. A lot of our students who are in choir are also in Band, Orchestra, Theater, and Art. We have a lot of fun signing and we would love to have you be a part of the HBMS Choir Program.
