By Train
The SCCOOT bus line is the only public transportation available around Lincoln University. It connects the University to Oxford, Avondale, West Grove, Toughkenamon, Kennett Square, Longwood Gardens, and West Chester. It also connects to the Krapf’s A Bus, which can take you to the Exton Amtrak Station and SEPTA 104, which can take you to the 69th Street Transportation Center in Philadelphia.
Both transportation services can be picked up at the West Chester Transportation Center from SCCOOT. The service runs Monday through Friday and is $2.00 to $4.00. You can view schedules at www.chescobus.com or call 610-993-0911 with questions.

The closest Amtrak train station is in Parkesburg. Train and bus stations are also located in Wilmington, Delaware (about 25 miles away).

By Car
From Philadelphia (via U.S. Route 1)
Take U.S. Route 1 south from either Baltimore Pike or City Line Avenue toward Kennett Square.
Continue south on U.S. Route 1 for 13 miles.
Exit at Route 896 / New London / Russellville.
Turn left onto Route 896 and drive to the flashing red light at Baltimore Pike.
Turn right and continue south for about 1 mile. Lincoln University will be on the left.
From Washington D.C. / Baltimore (via I-95 North)
Take I-95 North (John F. Kennedy Turnpike) to Exit 100: Route 272 / Rising Sun / Northeast, MD.
Turn left onto Route 272 North and continue into Pennsylvania.
After crossing the PA state line, go about 1 mile and turn left to stay on Route 272 North.
Continue for 3 miles, then turn right onto U.S. Route 1 Bypass North for 8 miles.
Exit at Route 896 / New London / Russellville.
Turn right onto Route 896 and drive to the flashing red light at Baltimore Pike.
Turn right and continue south for about 1 mile. Lincoln University will be on the left.
From New York / New Jersey
Take the NJ Turnpike South to Exit 2: Route 322 West / Chester.
Turn left onto Route 322 West and follow it 7 miles to the Commodore Barry Bridge.
After the bridge, stay left and merge onto I-95 (PA) South.
Keep right and follow signs for Route 322 West.
Take Route 322 West to U.S. Route 1 South; turn left at the intersection.
Follow U.S. Route 1 South for 10 miles to the Kennett Square sign.
Then follow the Philadelphia directions above starting at the second bullet.
From Harrisburg / West
Take Route 283 East to Route 30 East toward Philadelphia.
Turn right on Route 896 South and continue about 22 miles until you cross over Route 1.
At the flashing red light, turn right onto Old Baltimore Pike and drive 1 mile.
Lincoln University will be on the left.

Early November weather is typically cool and crisp, ranging from mid-40s°F to mid-50s°F (7–13°C), with partly cloudy skies and occasional light rain. Please dress in layers, bring a jacket or umbrella, and plan ahead for group travel.
