Casting Philosophy

• Our goal is to provide meaningful opportunities for performers of all ages and experience levels. We also aim to provide leadership opportunities for our older performers, so the larger roles will be cast with fourth- and fifth-grade students in mind. 

• In order to create more opportunities, we will double cast some roles. That means two performers will learn the role and each will have a chance to perform in that role. That said, there are plenty of opportunities for everyone to shine!

• There are also additional opportunities for some third grade performers, and those roles will be assigned after rehearsal next week.

• All casting will be done by our director. In the interest of fairness, no parent is involved in the casting process other than to review the cast list prior to sending it to families.

We know that some performers will be pleased with their roles and others may feel disappointed, please remind your young performers that there will be opportunities for each performer to shine and our director is working to highlight performers strengths.
