Lesson Program

Haverhill Farm offers English horseback riding lessons for children and adults, from first-time riders through experienced competitors.  Conveniently located in Ashland, Virginia, Haverhill Farm serves riders throughout the Richmond and Hanover areas and is just 15 minutes from Short Pump and Glen Allen. 

Haverhill Farm is proud to be a USHJA Recognized Riding Academy, a designation for programs committed to horsemanship, sportsmanship, safety and quality Hunter/Jumper instruction.

Our lesson program goes beyond riding to build well-rounded equestrians. Students learn grooming, tack, horse care and horsemanship while developing strong fundamentals, confidence and skill in the saddle.

Lessons are taught by adult instructors with an emphasis on quality instruction and safety. No horse ownership or previous riding experience is required, and our experienced school horses and ponies allow us to accommodate riders at a variety of levels.

Lessons are $235 per month and include a dedicated weekly lesson time.

Whether a rider is just getting started or wants to progress into leasing, ownership, and horse showing, Haverhill offers a place to start and a program to grow in.
