Although HAS library is devoted to members of Hartford Audubon, it is not an official website of Hartford Audubon. The official website of Hartford Audubon is HartfordAudubon.org.
Origin: HAS library was created by me alone, without any awareness by HAS, to replace my collection of paper HAS documents with electronic copies. That is still its first purpose. Once it proved to be a worthwhile site I decided to share it with members of HAS. It has never used any HAS resources and will remain freely shared.
Goal: The site attempts to foster a vivid concept of Hartford Audubon as a club or organization. It strives to "go deep" looking at where we have been, how things have worked out, how we do things, why we do things the way we do, and what our resources and capabilities allow us to do today.
For the most part, insight comes from data, and much of the useful data comes from the not so recent past. To this end, the site is a collection or archive of information. The information is organized by topic into pages. The pages are listed at the top of each page and can be opened by clicking on the page name.
