Boys Athletics

Boys Athletics allows young men to compete in Football, Cross County, Tennis, Golf, Swim, Track, Baseball and Basketball. Most sports will have two or three teams that require students to tryout during specific dates in the school year. Our purpose in boys’ athletics is to promote high academic standards along with developing strong character. We want to develop leaders who will have a positive impact in our world. Our goal is to win. We will accomplish our goal by establishing a strong work ethic with our athletes. GO HAWKS!

Girls Athletics

Girls Athletics allows our young ladies to participate in Volleyball, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Cross Country, Tennis, Golf, Swim and Dive. Most of these sports will have two teams (Varsity and JV), while volleyball and basketball have three teams (Freshman, JV and Varsity). There is a tryout process for each of these teams that occurs during specific dates throughout the year. Our purpose is to create a culture that develops strong character and promotes high academic standards. We strive to not only develop great athletes but leaders who will make a positive impact in our world. GO HAWKS!!

Sports Medicine

The Harlan Athletic Training staff is responsible for all matters pertaining to the health, safety, and welfare of every athlete on campus. We are committed to providing the best possible care, education, and professional support while utilizing all resources available to promote the success of Harlan athletics. The purpose of the student sports medicine program at Harlan High School is to provide a student centered approach focusing on the health and safety of every athlete while linking classroom education with real world experiences.


This program is geared for highly motivated, hardworking, and team-oriented students who have an interest in healthcare and sports medicine. Students in our program will have plenty of hands-on experiences in emergency care, injury treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation alongside our highly skilled athletic training staff. Students in our program can expect to work with, and provide care to, numerous sports teams year-round.
