Now Enrolling!
Creating a fun and safe environment for your little one is our main priority here at Happy Times CDC. We understand at this stage of their lives they have one thing on their mind and that is to explore! With the layout of our classroom, this allows the children to explore in a safe manner while having the time of their lives. Our STEAM focused curriculum focuses on language and literacy, physical development, cognitive and approaches to learning. With our positive learning environment, we take all their pent-up energy and redirect it into positive learning experiences.
A DAY IN OUR CLASSROOM
Children have group time every day. This provides the opportunity for the children to connect to each other as well as the teachers. Circle time is where we sing nursery rhymes, read and do group activities as part of our curriculum.
Children are taken outside for 45 minutes twice a day if the weather permits. Outside they are able to put their gross motor skills to work. They have their own personal playground where they can play to their hearts desire.
This is an exciting time for your toddler. They are finally able to eat table food. At this age, your child will begin to learn how to use utensils and also transition from a bottle to a sippy cup. Here at our establishment, we prepare meals full of whole grains, lots of healthy fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins. Whole milk is introduced and served four times a day to toddlers (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack Time (x2)).
LEARNING BEYOND
Our toddler's curriculum combines everything your toddler loves to do and allows us to help explore their interest. Our curriculum is full of language literacy, cognitive, physical development, and different approaches to learning. We incorporate shapes, colors, numbers and the alphabet in our daily activities. At Happy Times CDC, we know that every child is not the same and so are their learning styles. Our curriculum provides fun activities for your child to learn about the world around them but also about themselves. It encourages them to grow and push their limits.
Language and Literacy
Our activities will provide children the opportunity to express confidence in their own skills and positive feelings about themselves, contributing to their positive sense of self awareness. Our teachers read to your child three times a day and all of our books are accessible for your child to grab.
Cognitive
Our curriculum creates activities that provides opportunities for children to use observation and imitation to acquire knowledge.
Approaches to Learning
One of the many things about our curriculum is that it offers opportunities for the children to show their eagerness to learn.
Physical Development
It provides opportunities for the children to display fine motor tasks that require small muscle strength and control.
