Now Enrolling!
Welcome to Preschool! At this point in your child's journey, we help build on the skills they already have and prepare them for Headstart (Kindergarten). We allow your child to express themselves in creative play while also building personal relationships with their peers and teachers. Our classrooms help develop critical thinkers and problem solvers by providing experiences and material for them to do so. The classroom is setup in eight centers: Dramatic Play, Math, Science, Reading, Blocks, Music, Manipulatives, and Art. This allows your child to depend on self-reliance and confidence. Group time is filled with lots of learning activities and basic knowledge everything they need to start Headstart!
Our Classroom
We prepare meals full of whole grains, lots of healthy fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins. 1 percent milk is served and served four times a day to toddlers (Breakfast, Lunch, Snack Time (x2)).
Children are taken outside for 45 minutes twice a day if the weather permits. Outside they are able to put their gross motor skills to work. They have their own personal playground where they can play to their hearts desire.
Learning Beyond
Our curriculum will incorporate math early in your child's life. Ideally your child will sort and classify objects and analyze simple patterns. This allows your child to be able to sort and group objects in a set and explain verbally what objects have in common. Your child will begin to explore and communicate about distance, weight, length, height.
Our curriculum demonstrates understanding of your child's family and an emerging awareness of their own culture and ethnicity. It displays representations of home, school, or community through drawings or block constructions to be posted throughout the classrooms. We use writing for a variety of purposes copying letters and numbers. This encourages your child to exhibit traits of good citizenship.
Your child will express ideas or opinions in a group or individual setting. Your child will listen for information and for pleasure. They will also begin to understand and follow oral direction. Your child will begin to engage in self-expression and demonstrates strategies for reasoning and problem-solving.
