Margo shared an idea about purchasing a home for increasing a park :

Hello Michael,

Addressing the current Greenway project priority of “Acquire a Neighborhood Park in Happy Valley”, there is a piece of property for sale right next to the current Happy Valley Park which may be a fit. The house at 2710 Donovan Ave., which is currently for sale, abuts this park. A welcoming entrance to the park could be created from this property, making the park more usable to the community.

Thank you for your work on the City Council.

- Margo Hammond, HV neighborhood.

Blake Lyon, bglyon@cob.org, new planning director and is trying to learn the neighborhoods.

Scheduling wise, it looks like it would be a Saturday.

An idea that I think could work out, is a biking tour through the neighborhood, and several people at various interest points don't have to bike and talk about that spot.

Some places and people as examples:

Sully could talk about the Padden Creek daylighting and flood zone

Wendy could talk about Larrabee School, and 21st & Larrabee right of way

Bobbi could talk about Mill Avenue, and 24th & Douglas Right of Way

Pat (and neighbors) could talk about the 27th street Right of Way.

Alex (and others) can talk about the former LDS property, Connelly Creek, 32nd Street.

Any other spots to add?

-Signs?

-Firehouse Cafe?

-Happy Valley Park?

-A Cohousing or two?

-Specific Trees?

-Our Saviour's Lutheran Church rainwater barrels?

Here is the request I sent to Michael Lilliquist for the park idea:
