This lesson plan was for a group of first grade students working on consonant digraphs. This involved strong communication to the students because I had to explicitly tell them a word for them to them "tap out" each of the sounds. I had to communicate with them the importance of listening for each sound in a word and provide them with background information on consonant digraphs. This lessons also incorporates the used of Boom Cards.
My third grade students were working on past tense verbs. This was a topic they had already been working on, so this lesson was more of a review and for me to see what they knew. This lesson plan shows strong communication because I had to explicitly tell the students what was expected of them for the given instructional activities. The strong communication of this lesson is what made it flow so smoothly and allowed for maximum learning.
