In this project, I made a sticky notes holder using both laser cutting and 3D printing. I used laser cutting to make the main box, and 3D printing to make the two cylinders for holding pens. This project shows how to combine these two techniques in one design. so let`s see together step by step how the design goes .
I started by making the base of the box, which is 10 cm by 10 cm with a thickness of 3 cm. I made four holes in the base, which will be used to join and attach the other parts of the box.
For the box, I created four square pieces and added an extra rectangle at the bottom. This extra rectangle will fit into the four holes in the base that I made in the first step, allowing the pieces to join securely.
I used the extrude tool in the 4 new parts with thickness of 3 mm as u can see
As u can see i started to join the male with the female in the base of the box
this is the final result after the join
now let`s go to the steps of designing the slender
first, we draw the shape u all can see in the image by drawing 2 circle and join them together and then delete all the extra lines till we get the shape in the image
then we use the tool extrude with a Hight of 70 mm or any possible Hight as you wish, we also use the extrude tool in the bottom as u can see but with a 20 mm high and finally we draw 2 small rectangles and use the extrude tool again to make them come out of the surface so we can join them to the box as u can see in the image
In the end we join the 2 slender with the box so we can get the final result of a sticky notes with a pin holder in the side
