In this project, I designed a coaster using CorelDRAW software. After completing the digital design, I selected MDF material for manufacturing due to its suitability for laser cutting.
Once the design was finalized, it was exported and prepared for production. The coaster was then manufactured using a laser cutting machine, transforming the digital design into a physical product.
In the following section, I will explain the design and manufacturing steps using images to clearly demonstrate the process from design to final output.
step 1:-
First, I drew a square using CorelDRAW. Then, I used the Contour Tool to create an inner square, resulting in two squares inside each other. After that, I adjusted the corners of both squares into curved shapes to achieve a smooth contour effect and define the coaster’s base design.
step 2:-
In this step, I designed the inner part of the coaster by creating two squares inside each other. Then, I added the text “massage” inside the inner shape, making sure it was centered and aligned properly with the design.
Step 3
In this step, I used different colors to define the areas for cutting and engraving. Each color was assigned to a specific laser operation to clearly distinguish between the parts that would be cut through and the parts that would be engraved.
step 4:- In the final step, I used the laser machine to cut and engrave the design on the MDF material. After completing the laser process, the digital design was successfully transformed into a physical coaster, resulting in the final real-life product.
