This policy explains our information practices, defines your privacy options and describes how your information is collected and used. This policy covers the website at www.hampfoundation.org (the “HAMP Foundation Website”). The HAMP Foundation Website is owned and operated by HAMP Foundation, Inc. (“HAMP Foundation”). By visiting or using the HAMP Foundation Website, you agree to the collection and use of information in the manner described in this policy. HAMP Foundation shall have right at any time and without prior notice, at its sole discretion, to revise this policy. If we make material changes to this policy, we will notify you by means of a notice on the HAMP Foundation Website homepage. Such revisions and additions shall be effective immediately. You are responsible for reviewing the HAMP Foundation Website periodically for any modification to this policy. Any access or use of the HAMP Foundation Website by you after notice of modifications to this policy shall constitute and be deemed to be your agreement to such modifications.
1. INFORMATION COLLECTED AND INFORMATION PROVIDEDThis policy applies to all information collected by HAMP Foundation from your use of the HAMP HAMP Foundation Website and any other information and materials you submit electronically or in hard copy to HAMP Foundation. You will most likely provide personal information to us when you apply for a HAMP Foundation scholarship on the HAMP Foundation Website, or when you use the HAMP Foundation Website. The personal information we may collect includes: the information you submit to HAMP Foundation, including but not necessarily limited to: (i) applicant information, including your name, birth date, gender, permanent address, home phone, mobile phone, email address; (ii) parent/guardian information, including the name, relationship, permanent address, home phone, mobile phone, email address and occupation of a parent or guardian; (iii) high school information, including school name, school district name, principal’s name, principal’s phone number, guidance counselor’s name, guidance counselor’s phone number, school address, anticipated graduation date, current grade point average (GPA), advanced placement (AP) classes taken or scheduled to be taken, ACT scores, SAT scores, class size, and class rank; (iv) employment history, both paid and unpaid employment; (v) information on volunteer/community service; (vi) information on extracurricular activities; (vii) information related to your collegiate plans; (viii) a personal statement; (ix) financial information; and (x) any other additional information that may be requested as part of the scholarship application for the HAMP Foundation (collectively, “User Information”).
You are solely responsible for the information that you submit or transmit to HAMP Foundation. By submitting User Information you agree that HAMP Foundation may use, copy, display and distribute such User Information for any purposes, commercial, advertising or otherwise. For example, by submitting User Information you expressly authorize HAMP Foundation to contact you by phone, email and/or physical mail and store such information in a database for future use in contacting you. If at any point you do not wish to receive such communications from HAMP Foundation, you may submit such a request via email at hampscholarship@gmail.com. By submitting User Information, you also represent and warrant (i) that you either own or have permission to submit the User Information; (ii) that no third party rights will be violated by such submission; (iii) and that you have the right to grant HAMP Foundation the rights granted herein.
HAMP Foundation Website offers information about applying for a HAMP Foundation scholarship, including eligibility criteria, how to apply, an award timeline, renewal conditions, and frequently asked questions (FAQ). HAMP Foundation Website also offers information about HAMP Foundation, our current and past scholars, announcements, and general information on how to seek scholarships.
2. YOUR INFORMATIONThe HAMP Foundation Website includes areas that allow users to send information to HAMP Foundation. Your use of the HAMP Foundation Website and the information and materials you submit are subject to the Website Terms of Use, which are incorporated by reference and part of this Privacy Policy, and are available for review at www.hampfoundation.org If you do not want any personally identifiable information about yourself collected through the HAMP Foundation Website, please do not provide it. Upon email request we will make reasonable efforts to remove any such information from our records. You may submit your request by e-mail at hampscholarship@gmail.com.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATIONOur primary goal in collecting your information is to allow you to apply for a HAMP Foundation scholarship to the extent that you are eligible, and to provide HAMP Foundation with the information needed to select scholarship recipients.
In addition to the personal information you supply, we may collect certain information to evaluate how visitors, guests, and potential scholarship recipients use the HAMP Foundation Website. We collect data to make the HAMP Foundation Website work better for you in the following ways: to improve the design of the HAMP Foundation Website, to provide personalization on the HAMP Foundation Website and to evaluate the performance of our scholarship program. DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATIONIt is our policy not to share or disclose personal information of our visitors, guests, and potential scholarship recipients to third parties, provided, however, that we reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as provided in this Privacy Policy, as required by law, and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or comply with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.
6. PRIVACY AND OTHER WESBITESThe HAMP Foundation Website may contain links to other websites. HAMP Foundation is not responsible for the privacy practices of these other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site, and to read the privacy statements of each web site that collects personally identifiable information.
