To apply for a HAMP Foundation scholarship, applicants MUST satisfy the following eligibility criteria:
Applicants must be students currently enrolled in Milwaukee County (Wisconsin) high schools and expect to graduate at the end of the 2025-2026 academic year. G.E.D. recipients are not eligible.
Applicants must rank in the top 20% of their academic class at the end of their junior year. IMPORTANT: If your school does not provide class rank, then in order for your application to be considered, your SCHOOL COUNSELOR must send an email from his/her school email account to the HAMP foundation at hampscholarship@gmail.com explaining where you would rank. The deadline for your counselor to send this email is 5:00 pm on Friday, January 16, 2026.
Applicants must have taken or be currently enrolled in at least 2 advanced placement (AP) classes OR international Baccalaureate (IB) classes OR a college course for credit.
Applicants must have applied as full-time (12 credit/semester) students at either the University of Wisconsin-Madison or the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for the 2026-2027 academic year.
Applicants must be eligible for in-state tuition/tuition reciprocity at the University of Wisconsin-Madison or the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, as applicable.
Additional Award Criteria:
Please note that awardees will need to meet the following three additional criteria prior to release of funds:
Awardees must be accepted and enrolled as full-time (12 credits/semester) students at either the University of Wisconsin-Madison or the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities for any semester for which reimbursement is requested.
Awardees must agree to live in university housing during their first three years of college, to the extent that university housing is available.
Awardees must not take any other scholarship money if they accept the HAMP Foundation scholarship.
