Halloween is all about having fun with your friends and family. One of the best parts of Halloween is decorating the house with handmade crafts. And when these crafts are made by your kids, it's all the more worth it.

Now I'm sure all of you must be looking for free Halloween crafts that are easy enough for your kids to follow.

Well, the internet is a hub for different ideas. Once you have the ideas and tips and tricks, you can use your innovative skills to make the ideas even more interesting. Creativity and imagination are the key to making your decorations as exclusive, attractive and spooky as you want them to be. Here are a few ideas to get started:

1. Halloween Bats

This idea is quite simple. Buy some simple things like egg cartons, scissors (safety scissors in case the child is younger) and black paint. Cut 3 egg cups from the egg carton and make sure they stay in place. Check whether the egg carton must be clean. Now the outer cups would turn into two bat wings - just cut their front and back. Now paint the whole thing in black. Attach pretty eyes for the real impact or simply paint the eyes with white paint. Here the middle cup becomes the face. Now make a hole at the top of the middle cup and thread a string through it. Tie a tight knot so it doesn't slip through this hole. Now insert the string into this hole. Finally hang the bats wherever you want.

Try a combination of waterproof paint and Styrofoam egg carton. These bats are perfect for decorating the trees outside the house.

2. Singing Ghosts

You can craft scary balloon ghosts outside the house and add some spookiness to your Halloween. Take 2 white plastic bags. These are easily available at nearby grocery stores or Wal-Mart. Now cut the handles and the written part of these plastic bags. Now start shredding the bottom of the plastic bags, leaving out the seams. Try making 1-inch scraps. Make sure the cuts are about 1 inch away from the seams. Now inflate your balloon and tie a knot so it stays inflated. Now glue 1 pocket to the back of the balloon and 1 pocket to the front together with the top button. Preferably use black duct tape, it has a pretty good grip. Now draw a ghost face. Tie a piece of string around the knot. The ghost is ready to hang! It can be even more fun if you tie some bells to the lower shreds of the mind. Now you would hear it haunting the wind!
