Cadet Ball
On Friday, May 12, 2023, the George Washington Educational Campus NJROTC Unit held it´s Annual Cadet Ball. The Ball celebrates and recognizes the accomplishments and efforts of the Cadets with awards, food, and dancing. The Ball began with the Sabre Walk, The fallen Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines were recognized with a POW/MIA Table Tribute. Speeches were given by the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer. This event capped off an eventful year and officially kicked off planning for the next year’s events with the newly installed Senior Leadership Team.

Fleet Week
On Thursday, May 25, 2023, the George Washington Educational Campus NJROTC visited the Navy in New York for Fleet Week at Pier 88. Fleet week is when active military ships dock in a variety of major cities like New York for one week. The cadets observed and learned what the Navy does underway and how the Navy operates ships and aircraft. During the tour, we learned the history of the ship and met some of the active duty officers on deck. This event offered a tremendous opportunity to meet other cadets and collaborate on ideas to enrich each unit.
Community Service
We serve at a variety of community service events to give back to our communities, bond with other cadets, and get hands-on experience working as a team and exercising leadership. On November 11, 2023, our cadets participated in the annual parade for our U.S. veterans.
