The Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps teaches cadets Discipline, Leadership, Teamwork, and the Navy's core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment. 

NJROTC encourages cadets to learn and perform military Drill and Color Guard. Our program offers a physical fitness and academics team, community service events, and after-school tutoring to help cadets in their personal growth! 

 Meet The Instructors

Senior Naval Instructor: Commander Payne 

CDR Payne served 21 years in the Navy from 1997 to 2018.  He entered the Navy through the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program in the Spring of 1997 while attending the University of Memphis. Upon graduation with a BA degree in Political Science in 1998, he was commissioned through Officer Candidate School (Class 26-98) in Pensacola, FL.  He served as a Senior Naval Science Instructor at the Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering and at Millington Central Middle High School before coming to George Washington. 




Naval Science Instructor: Chief Sikora 

NCC John Sikora served 21.5 years in the Navy from 1989 to 2011.  He holds a Master's Degree of Science in Education from Fort Hays State University. He's been an instructor at George Washington Educational Campus for eight years.
