Gale

Gale is a database platform produced by Gale (the name of the platform and the name of the company are the same). The platform hosts databases produced by Gale as well as databases produced by other companies. NOVA Libraries subscribe to 18 databases on this platform.  

The videos below explain how to use some of the tools on the Gale platform. For written information about using Gale, click on the Help link located at the bottom of any Gale database page.  

You can search any, or all, of the databases on the Gale platform at the same time. This is useful when you don't find what you're looking for in a single database. 

To search any, or all, of the databases on the Gale platform at the same time, follow these instructions:

1. Go to the Gale Power Search page.  

2. Select the databases that you want to search.  

3. Enter your search terms in the search field located in the banner near the top of the page.    

Once you've searched for sources on your topic in the databases on the Gale platform, try searching the databases on the EBSCOhost and ProQuest platforms. For more information about these platforms, visit the EBSCOhost and ProQuest pages in this Guide.
