EBSCOhost is a database platform produced by EBSCO. The platform hosts databases produced by EBSCO as well as databases produced by other companies. NOVA Libraries subscribe to about databases on this platform.
The videos below explain how to use the EBSCOhost platform. When you're in a database on the EBSCOhost platform, you can find helpful information about using the platform by clicking on the Help link located in the top right corner of any page.
You can search any, or all, of the databases on the EBSCOhost platform at the same time. This is useful when you don't find what you're looking for in a single database.
To search any, or all, of the databases on the EBSCOhost platform at the same time, follow these instructions:
Go to a database on the EBSCOhost platform, such as Academic Search Complete.
On the database page, click on the Choose Databases link that's located above the search fields. A list of databases will appear.
To select all of databases, click in the checkbox labeled Select/Deselect All. To select individual databases, click in the checkbox next to the database's name.
When you've finished selecting databases to search, click on the OK button. This will take you to the search page where you can conduct your search.
