LETTER TO PARENTS ABOUT TELECOUNSELING
All students in the Fisher Public School District in grades 7 -12 are able to meet with me to discuss personal/social, academic, and career issues that come up through out the school year.
Sometimes your student needs to visit with someone about coping skills to deal with anxiety,; working through friendship issues in the classroom, and ways to help them improve their academics.
Students can meet with me through a parent or teacher referral, or they can personally request to meet with me.
Techniques and Interventions
During individual counseling sometimes a student just needs a safe place to blow off steam or brainstorm ideas. At other times I use interactive activities or worksheets to help students work through a problem or practice a skill. A few of my favorite resources are listed below.
