An Undergraduate's First Field Experience:

Hello, everyone! Here we present a Virtual Field Trip that covers basic geologic concepts by providing real-world examples as if you were to take this trip on your own. It doesn't matter if you are a beginner with little to no geologic knowledge, or if you are an experienced and established geologist — it is to enjoy for all!

Topics covered in this field trip include Field Geology (with Metamorphics!), Sedimentary Geology, Structural Geology, and Igneous Geology! We will provide you with many activities and make you truly think about what you are seeing and interpreting. Although this is not an in-person field trip, we have created this to allow you to still gain the knowledge and skills that you can bring with you next time you go to an outcrop or go on a school geology trip!
