Good Shepherd offers parents the opportunity to fully understand what they are undertaking for their child and themselves through the Sacrament of Baptism. Baptism Preparation allows parents to reflect upon the faith they will share with their child. The Ministry also provides information on any special circumstances surrounding their child’s Baptism celebration.

Hospitality Ministers greet Mass attendees, facilitate the Presentation of the Gifts and serve refreshments after the Sunday Masses. They also assist the congregation with miscellaneous needs such as seating, logistics and the location of restrooms. The goal of the Ministry is to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere that facilitates both worship and fellowship.
In addition, important “background support” roles are vital to the functioning of the ministry:
Refreshment Coordinator - Recruit & coordinate volunteers that deliver donuts and apple juice each Sunday by 8:30 AM.
Donut Volunteer - Purchase donuts, apple juice and Half & Half from a local grocery store and deliver them to the Church by 8:30 AM each Sunday (1 month rotation).
Backup Donut Volunteer - In the event that the scheduled volunteer is unable to do so, purchase and deliver donuts, apple juice and Half & Half to the Church by 8:30 AM that Sunday.

Volunteers for the Laundry Ministry take care of the weekly laundering of purificators and dish towels used at Mass. Occasionally, bath towels (from Baptisms) and/or Altar cloths also need to be laundered.
Volunteers typically serve one week/month. They're responsible for collecting dirty laundry after the 10:30 AM Mass, washing it and returning it during Office hours (or when coming to Mass).
The Ministry generally has one alternate who can fill in as needed. Volunteers are also welcome to swap schedules if they're unable to cover their assigned week.

Liturgical Musicians are called to minister to their fellow parishioners who gather for weekend Masses, inspiring them through music to celebrate our love for Jesus Christ.
Consisting of 4-8 vocalists, piano, guitar, (occasionally) flute & percussion, the 5:00 PM Ministry is an informal, conducted ensemble that plays folk, contemporary and traditional music. The group meets every Saturday at 4 PM to rehearse. Besides Saturday Mass, they typically play for Christmas Eve, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and other special liturgies throughout the year.
All are welcome, regardless of skill level (and even if you can only be here sometimes)! Please get in touch if you'd be interested in singing, cantoring or playing an instrument.

The 8:30 AM Ministry joyfully welcomes all who love to bring the spirit of God to the congregation through music. Piano or organ-based, and often accompanied by saxophone, the ensemble sings a mix of traditional and contemporary hymns. Rehearsals are after Mass in the Chapel.
Please get in touch if you'd be interested in singing, cantoring or playing an instrument.

The 10:30 AM Ministry tends toward contemporary music, but also sings beloved traditional hymns. Our singing is accompanied by piano, guitar, bass and (sometimes) other instruments. Instrumentalists and cantors rehearse on Sundays at 10 AM. All are welcome in whatever capacity they feel comfortable!
Please get in touch if you'd be interested in singing, cantoring or playing an instrument.

If you enjoy prayer, knitting and/or crocheting, consider bringing your yarn, hooks, or needles to the Prayer Shawl Ministry!
Throughout the ages, shawls have come to symbolize shelter, peace and spiritual sustenance. In 1998, the National Prayer Shawl Ministry was started as an ecumenical movement with people praying as they create hand-knitted and crocheted shawls. In 2008, Good Shepherd’s Prayer Shawl Ministry was established. Since then, almost 1,000 shawls have been created, prayed over and blessed, then given to adults and children, parishioners and non-parishioners, who needed comfort, caring and the warmth of being prayed for. The creation and presentation of a prayer shawl, like all acts of generosity, enriches the giver as well as the recipient.
The Ministry meets in the Gathering Space from 9:00-11:00 AM on most Tuesdays (canceled for some holidays, snow, and election days). We have knitters and crocheters of all levels, happily share patterns, and we usually have a nice stash of donated yarn that you can choose from if you don’t have some of your own to use. You don’t have to commit to being there every week, and there is no pressure or timetable for getting a shawl made.

Can you touch a prayer? Can you pull it close and feel its comfort? You can if it's a part of a prayer quilt!
Prayers & Squares is an interfaith outreach organization that combines the gift of prayer with the gift of a hand-tied quilt. The purpose of Prayers & Squares is to promote prayer through the use of quilts.
Each knot represents a prayer. As each knot is tied, a prayer is offered for a person in need – someone who has asked us to pray for them. The finished quilt goes to that person as a silent testimony to our belief in the power of prayer. These quilts truly can be called “comforters”.
Our motto is: "It's not about the quilt; it's all about the prayers."
This ministry is for anyone who is interested. Please let us know the following:
I would like to join the group and have quilting experience.
I would like to learn to quilt and have sewing skills.
I do not know how to sew, but can iron or cut fabric and tie strings on quilts.
I would like to support this ministry by donating material & supplies or funds for these items.
I would like to request a Prayer Quilt for someone I know who will accept the gift of prayer.
I will say a prayer and tie a knot on quilts on the quilt rack in the Gathering Space.
