Nearpod creates opprotunities for students to learn outside of their typcial school day by allowing students to go on virtual field trips that benefit the content they are learning. While Nearpod is used inside the classroom setting, it allows students to virtually visit places they otherwise would not have the opportunity.
Does the technology create a bridge between school learning and everyday life experiences?
Nearpod itself does not create a bridge between school learning and everyday life experiences. Educators have the oppurtunity to build their lessons to bridge the gap between school learning and everyday life experiences. Educators may use student experiences in their lessons, incorporate peer collaboration, and encourage critical thinking activities in their lessons.
Does the technology allow students to build skills that they can use in their everyday lives?
Nearpod gives students the ability to build skills that they will use in their everyday lives by encouraging students to use critical thinking skills to complete activities. Additionally, Nearpod allows students to learn how to collaborate amongst peers, work solely, and communicate effectively.

Use of Nearpod in the Classroom
I see Nearpod being used as a supplemental tool in the classroom. After the initial lesson is taught, this webtool can be used as a large formative assessment. It allows the teacher to monitor learning in real-time, allowing for adjustments to be made or certain parts of the lesson to be retaught if it is not being understood. Nearpod can be used to test knowledge by using the multiple games / activities, providing supplemental videos with questions attached, or by using virtual field trips to deepen understanding of the concept.
