Explanation of the Experiment
We start the experiment by taking a glass and half a spoonful of salt, we apply the salt to the glass and then, taking care that there are no bubbles, we introduce a spoonful of soap.
We continue the experiment with 20ml of water and insert it back into the glass. Mix it gently for 5 minutes.
While a team member is mixing it, another member is crushing the fruit with a blender. After five minutes of stirring the previous mixture, we introduce 5 spoonfuls of the crushed fruit, and blend it for 10 minutes.
After this time, in a glass with a coffee filter, we introduce the mixture and wait for it to be filtered to obtain a liquid that we will use continuously. This will vary depending on the amount that is filtered.
After this step we will put a little alcohol in the test tube.
We will put a little alcohol in the test tube. Once enough liquid has been filtered into the beaker, using the test tube and an dropper, pour the filter liquid little by little around the edges of the tube. In the test tube we will have a mixture that will allow us to see the DNA on this fruit.
You can use a glass stick to observe how the DNA coils up if you introduce it into the test tube.
Conclusion
In the experiment we have used soap, which serves to dissolve the plasma and nuclear membrane of the cell, which allows us to observe the DNA macroscopically.
The experiment shows that everything organic or living has DNA, since this is done as much as with vegetables or fruits (as is our case), as with people or animals, in order to extract their DNA and perform certain analyzes.
