Find a cartoon on-line with "Little Red Riding Hood as a theme and write a reflection on that cartoon. What kind of cartoon is that (Social, Political)? How do you like it? Etc..... Add a copy of the cartoon, name the cartoonist and the source URL.

    • This is a political cartoon where the grandmother is in bed looking Little Red Riding Hood and Little Red Riding Hood is sitting in a table beside her. Little Red Riding Hood is turned and is looking at her grandma and is saying "My, Grandma, what crushing debt you have." Little red riding hood is implied to be calculating the amount of debt her Grandmother has by the book she has in front of her, her calculator on the top right of her book and the little scraps of paper all over the floor. In this cartoon, it's also implied that Little Red Riding Hood followed her mother's instructions because she has her basket that she was supposed to give her grandmother on the floor next to her bed and that her grandmother isn't the wolf. The cartoon uses the generation gap between Little Red Riding Hood and her Grandmother to symbolize how the Grandmother has accumulated a lot of debt from living her life and Little Red Riding Hood has no debt because she is a child that hasn't lived that long. This cartoon also shows that Little Red Riding Hood is taking care of her grandmother because she is older and therefore can't take care of herself. This cartoon describes an economic situation that a lot of the younger generations go through. A lot of younger generations take care of their grandparents, parents financially or physically because they can't take care of themselves. I Like this cartoon because the art style is simple and it lets the meaning of the cartoon shine more then, how well they can draw. I also like how the cartoon uses the already cautionary tale and uses it to describe an economic situation that a lot of people go through at one point in their lives.
