The Art Cover Exchange (ACE) is a vibrant philatelic friendship club where members design, decorate, and mail one-of-a-kind, handmade envelopes to each other. It perfectly blends traditional stamp collecting with unique mail art.
A Rich History
Founded in November 1934 by Leonard J. Turley, ACE originally sought to unite stamp enthusiasts who were passionate about the artistic presentation of first day and regular postal covers. While the club disbanded shortly after World War II, it was officially reborn in 1985. Today, ACE (which is also recognized as American First Day Cover Society Chapter #79) is just as active and passionate as ever.
Why You Should Join ACE
Unleash Your Creativity: You do not need to be a professional artist to join. Members decorate covers using a delightful mix of methods, including hand-drawn paintings, rubber stamps, stickers, collages, and digital art.
Build a Unique Collection: Receive stunning, postally-flown, one-of-a-kind art pieces directly to your mailbox.
Forge Friendships: Connect with fellow creators and stamp collectors across the globe through the tactile joy of traditional mail.
How to Get Involved
Joining is a wonderful way to get a fun, creative outlet. You can find out more about the club and sign up by visiting the Art Cover Exchange homepage or directly submitting an application through the Art Cover Exchange Registration page.

Here is an excerpt from the ACE web-site:
"Today, in addition to hand-drawn or painted art, members use a variety of artistic methods for decorating their covers, including computer art, stickers, rubber stamps, collage and just about anything else that will adhere to a cover and go through the mails. "
