Genetic Disorders

TASK: You will be completing a Research Worksheet for your selected Genetic Disorder, then you will use that research information to craft an informative brochure.

RESEARCH RESOURCES: These sources will provide information to support your research. Remember to put information in your own words to avoid plagiarism! You will be applying the information to scenarios, so make sure you understand the information you find, and if one source feels less clear, seek out an alternative!

HELPFUL WEBSITES:

GHS Library Resources:

GALE Database: You can search within the "Genetic Disorders" Topic Page embedded below.

BONUS: GALE helps cite information for you!

GALE Encyclopedia of Genetic Disorders 2022 is searchable and has great information about many Genetic Disorders.

The GALE Encyclopedia of Science (2021) may help explain concepts in another way to help you understand your research.

Use "search within publication" box for both of these resources.

CITING SOURCES:

Citing your sources is super important! It gives credit to your sources for their work, and it adds to your credibility by showing you know how to find and use good information. It also makes you a part of the greater body of research.

Google Docs has tools embedded within it to help cite sources. Follow Mrs. Fredericksen's instructions and ask for help if you need it!
