History: Eikosakopos '' twenty oared '' it was a ancient coast gard ship of Mediterranean sea. . These ships were equipped with a rectangular sail and additional rudders used at least since the Archaic era, but rather similar ships were previously used, taking into account the relevant references to Homeric epics .The Eikosakopos was propelled by twenty (20) rowers who were placed per 10 on each side. In its middle mast, the square sail was also used to promote the ship when there was a favorable wind.
