Trirem was an ancient Greek vessel and a type of galley, used by ancient maritime civilizations of the Mediterranean, especially the Phoenicians, ancient Greeks and Romans. Trirem it was not only a warship, but also a means for the dissemination of Hellenic Culture and the principles of Democracy,the art and science. As a guardians of the seas they secured the trade routes through wich Hellenic ideas and products were transported throughout the entire then-known world.
