Mrs. Rollins: I am a Great Falls native, educated in and a proud graduate of the Great Falls Schools. I returned to college as a “mature” 25-year-old student and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of South Carolina in 1994. (Go Gamecocks!) I also earned my Masters in Reading: Curriculum and Instruction from Grand Canyon University and am National Board certified as an Early Childhood Generalist. I began teaching second grade at Great Falls Elementary in 1995, and held that position until accepting my current placement as the Reading Interventionist approximately 8 years ago. I am married to Neil Rollins, and together we have three sons, Alex Walters, Joel Rollins, and Chase Rollins. We also have a bonus daughter, Jessica Walters and a six-year-old granddaughter Ivy. During my spare time I love to spend time with my family and friends, and I LOVE to read!
Mrs. Jordan: Hello! My name is Debra Jordan. I am the Literacy Coach for Great Falls Elementary School. I have been in education at GFE for twenty-two years. My first eleven years were spent in second grade. Then I spent eight years teaching fourth grade before moving into my current role. It is my belief that all students have the right to an education that prepares them for success both now and in the future. My mission is to support and empower teachers as they support and empower students.
Mrs. Brooks: I am a native of Great Falls, South Carolina. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education (University of South Carolina) as well as a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education (University of South Carolina). I also have 30+hours in Special Education. I have 26 years teaching experience at Great Falls Elementary School and Great Falls Middle School in 2nd, 5th, 6th, and 7th grades. This year I will be serving as the math coach and interventionist.
Ms. Means: My name is Tia Means, and I grew up in and around Great Falls. This is my second year here at Great Falls Elementary, and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. I am so honored to give back to the community by helping to educate the youth. I have always been very passionate about helping others, and what better way to help than to helping the children? Although this school year will be like none other, I look for to working with each and every child that needs me.
