Akiem's Fruit Basket
This image of a fruit basket was created using a variety of graphic design tools in Photopea. The Magic Wand tool was used to select and remove backgrounds. The Opacity tool helped in adjusting the transparency of certain elements for a more realistic layering effect. The Pen tool was used to create and refine custom shapes and paths, ensuring smooth and accurate outlines. Additionally, the Move tool was used in the placement and resizing of images for a balanced composition. Various other graphic design tools were also utilized to enhance details and achieve the final look.
Galaxy out of this world.
The image depicts an astronaut in space looking back from the moon. To create this composition, multiple layers were used to assemble the different elements seamlessly. The Move Tool was utilized to place and resize images accurately within the canvas. Additionally, the Magic Wand Tool played a crucial role by removing predominantly white backgrounds from various image components, enabling clean layering and integration. The combination of these tools and layers resulted in a cohesive and visually engaging space scene.
The Girl We Killed Last Summer
The title and visual theme of the movie poster were carefully chosen based on both aesthetic appeal and thematic relevance. While searching online for images to include in the poster, I came across a striking image of a sad-looking female standing in an open field. This image immediately resonated with the overall mood I wanted to convey and was therefore chosen as the centerpiece of the poster. The choice of this image was deliberate, as it evokes an emotional response from the audience and helps establish the film's tone.
In terms of color scheme, I decided to use a darker overall tone for the background. This choice complements the central image, creating a sense of depth and atmosphere that is appropriate for the theme of the poster. To ensure that the text stood out and was easily readable, I selected lighter colors for the wording on the poster. The contrast between the dark background and the light text is designed to draw the viewer's attention and emphasize key information, making the poster visually engaging and effective at communicating its message.
A variety of digital tools were employed in the creation of this movie poster to achieve the desired effect. The Move Tool was essential for positioning images and elements precisely, allowing for a balanced and visually appealing layout. The Gradient Tool was used to adjust the tones and shades of images, creating smooth transitions and enhancing the overall mood of the poster. Additionally, the Opacity Tool allowed for fine-tuning the brightness of individual images, which helped certain elements stand out while others receded into the background. This layering and adjustment of opacity contributed to a more dynamic and professional-looking final design
The objective of this project was to design a logo that clearly represents a tropical-themed café and attracts customers by creating a relaxed, welcoming mood. The use of elements such as the palm tree, sun, flower, ocean waves, and drink visually communicates a tropical atmosphere and suggests freshness, leisure, and enjoyment, which aligns well with the café’s brand identity.
The design was created using graphic design tools and software such as Adobe Photoshop. These tools allowed for clean lines, balanced composition, effective use of color, and scalable design suitable for menus, signage, and promotional materials.
Over the course of this Course, my skills as they relate to Graphic Design have improved. At the start of this course, I had zero knowledge of what Graphic Design was, but over a period of time with the help of Miss Shaw and my classmates, my skills began to improve. Now I can make magazine covers, posters, and other graphic design ideas. Having developed these skills, it will only help in areas where I need to design but also can become a job in the future.
