Currently, Xinyu cannot predict his research future just yet, but one thing is for sure: he wants to delve deep into fundamental research for a lasting impact, rather than chasing after quick rewards. He enjoys the adventure full of the unknown and surprises, with some necessary bumps along the way. While he is awkward on physical directions and very stubborn on his life ambition, we shall be patient to see how he will develop.

1. Air conditioning is central to his life. After years in a sauna-like environment, Xinyu now judges places solely by their AC quality.
2. Xinyu is always lucky - like hitting his highest score ever on the most important test of his life, the college entrance exam. Timing is everything!

3. Xinyu's luck took a detour when a sudden illness stretched his bachelor’s degree to five years. But after bouncing back, he seemed even more optimistic - because why not?

5. He should be good at cooking, but just too lazy to do so. “Consider food as data, then savor your bite.” GT chicken is his favorite.
As a student with a traditional engineering background, Xinyu is well-compatible with wrenches, screwdrivers, etc. Though he is working hard to shift toward a scientist's life, he’s always ready to lend a hand. If you can’t find him, check the mountains - he’s likely off hiking or climbing!
