Under the microscope, watching how cells animate and communicate themselves to respond to external stimuli, gives great pleasure.
The legacy of biochemical perspectives to understand the cell system leads us to our understanding of how molecular interaction shapes the behaviors of cells, tissue, organs, and the body.
In the Steve Granick group, I am searching for hidden principles in cell systems beyond the scope of individual moieties and a canonical understanding of collective cell behavior.
The principle can possibly be applied in emerging new technology developments such as animate material design, and soft robots. I am expecting to harmonize with UMass People and beautiful and cozy campus environments.
