HoCo 2025-26 Writer-in-Residence: Karen Outen

Description: Karen Outen is the Writer-in-Residence for Howard County's Poetry and Literature Society. She's an established writer known for her novel, Dixon, Descending (2024) and for having fiction published in Glimmer Train, The North American Review, and Essence. As our Writer-in-Residence, she will be part of interviews and workshops where the whole community can engage in creativity.
