About Us 

Government Polytechnic Himmatnagar is a premier technical education in Sabarkantha District working since 1983 and Computer Engineering Department started from year 2009 with capacity of 60 students. Computer Engineering course is AICTE approved since 2009 and with benefit of location all seats are filled during admission every year. It is a long-standing policy of the Computer Department, Government Polytechnic Himmatnagar that the senior faculty members have a special responsibility to orient junior and new faculty and to give guidance and assistance on matters of teaching to maintain the academic vitality and to conduct teaching observations. All faculty members are obligated to meet all classes at the time and place scheduled and for the prescribed number of hours. Our faculties have counseling responsibilities concerns the course they are currently taking, an independent study project, and future career.

During the year students are asked to represent their traditional ceremonies, technical fair and outreach activities and the Department give them opportunity for the same. We are trying to generate creativity, curiosity among the students. Many students of our department are actively involved in NSS activities and giving their contribution to society.

To give the students industry exposure, we organize seminars on latest technologies and invite experts from industries. We also encourage our students to know the development in industries by visiting them. Our faculties put their efforts to prepare students so they can think logically and apply standard practices and strategies in their overall development.
