Non-Organizer Event Hosting Guidelines
We like it when gotRVA members invite other members to activities they enjoy, which is why we encourage you to add your activity(s) to our calendar. Especially as long as it coincides with our mission... Which is to help members Get Up off the Couch, Get Out of the House, and Get Active with Get Out Today RVA.
Below are the guidelines for gotRVA members who are not Event Organizers but would like to host an event:
1) Event Limit: A gotRVA member who is not an Event Organizer may host up to two events each year. If you wish to host more than two events, we encourage you to consider becoming a gotRVA Event Organizer. If you're interested in this option, please click the link below.
2) Membership Duration: You must be a gotRVA member for at least three months before you can host an event.
3) Event Attendance: You need to attend at least one gotRVA event where either Sarah or Morgan, our organizers, have met you. This is for safety reasons and to verify who your profile says you are.
4) Venue Requirement: Events must take place in a public location. Hosting an event at your residence is not permitted unless you are a gotRVA Organizer.
5) Event Submission: Please email Morgan with all the details of your event, including the nature of the event, the date, and the location. Once your event is approved, Morgan will post it for you.
Thank you for your interest in helping members Get Up, Get Out, and Get Active!
