About Us Organizers

Each gotRVA Organizer has experienced great adventures, and great social events, and made some great friends through Meetup.com. We would like to introduce you to the same. If you’re new to Meetup or a shy person, then let us Organizers know and we will try to help you out by getting you acclimated to the group. We are an eclectic group of fun lovin' people, all having a wide range of interests, but with one common goal. Helping you Get Up, Get Out and Get Active.

Each one of our “gotRVA” Event Organizers is a volunteer. They do this on their own time, for the pure enjoyment of the activities they love to do. Sometimes Organizers have to put money and resources upfront, just to make these events happen. Please strongly consider giving something back for their efforts.

Most Meetups will take place in an outside environment, mountains, and/or woods. Please be aware that our organizers are NOT lifeguards, tour guides, park rangers, and/or first aid trained. They are taking the same risks and precautions on each outing as you do. You are solely responsible for your own safety and well-being.

Some Meetups will take place at the home of the person hosting or organizing the event. PLEASE respect their homes, respect their property, and respect their request to leave when asked.
