Sterling Heights Academy is currently the only school in the Mampong Municipal that offers UCMAS. UCMAS stands for Universal Concept of Mental Arithmetic System. It is a programme which, using Abacus as the tool, Arithmetic as the evaluation process and Kinesthetic learning as methodology, develops Cognitive Skills in children between the ages of 5 and 13 years. UCMAS is a unique and scientifically-proven mental development programme designed for children to develop their latent mental power at a very early age when brain development is reaching its peak.

As a testament to our students' prowess in UCMAS, we were the only school in the Mampong Municipal to win a trophy in the 2023 National UCMAS Competition.

The Science set, designed and produced by Dext Technologies, is a syllabus-compliant, portable, highly scalable science laboratory designed to fit in bags and on students' desks. With the Science Set, kids can enjoy Science more and appreciate the practical nature of the subject. They will also be able to demonstrate principles and gain a deeper understanding of basic science concepts. With the Science set, children can perform experiments, including Making electromagnets, Visualizing magnetic lines of force, Visualizing rays and beams, and Rectilinear propagation of light.
