For the final team project of One Little Spark Season 3, we have traveled through the dimensions of imagination and reached a distant reality in the imagineering realm, known as The Chaosverse. Here lies a hive mind of creation that encapsulates innovative yet slightly bizarre concepts that while might not see the light of day in the OLSverse - will definitely have a home in the Chaosverse.
In this realm already sits a version of Gotham focusing on the more colorful and zany side of DC with Harley Quinn being the focal point of the land and taking inspiration from the 2016 Suicide Squad, 2020 Birds of Prey, and 2021 The Suicide Squad films. In the Chaosverse, Disney has provided an Epcot 2032 plan as well, yet for some reason Universal continues to outperform WDW and DL.
This outperformance is mostly due to the Universal acquisition of the Harry Potter theme park rights. In the Chaosverse, Harry Potter has become immensely popular and Universal has created 3 lands in Florida and 2 in Hollywood, taking a great share of the 'teen' and 'young adult' crowd from Disney. With Disney's emphasis on merchandise in recent years as well, and George Lucas backing out of the deal to sell Lucasfilm after discovering Bob Iger had a burner account on Reddit bashing the prequels, Disney was in need of a major shake-up.
Having attempted to buyout this company once in 2016, Disney once again entered talks with Warner Brothers and eventually struck a deal in 2022 to buy the company for an estimated $84 Billion Dollars, giving Disney the theme park rights to every Warner Bros franchise except Harry Potter.
Once the deal was finalized, plans were underway to transform the California parks into essentially Warner Bros Studios parks. Many Disneyland natives were very much against the Stark Industries takeover of Tomorrrowland in Disneyland. Nevertheless, once the Disneyland fans saw the Stark Industries land for themselves, whether it be their inner fandom coming out or another reason, fans demanded more themed lands such as this in the California Parks. Disney saw this as an opportunity to do something that no company could ever have done before - a Marvel vs DC Land.
With a prototype of Gotham previously built in the Chaosverse, much like the planned Nintendo lands for Universal Parks, each Gotham City land in the Disney parks will have a different inspiration. While the previous one might focus on the ACE Chemicals and colorful aspects of Gotham, the Disneyland version wanted to create a pseudo-Villains land. A transition point from Fantasyland that seamlessly fits with the European architectural influence of Gotham City, and the Tomorrowland transition from the Marvel Stark Industries land. The plans for Disneyland further enveloped Toontown as well, with the Warner Bros takeover, Roger Rabbit became more of a focal point throughout the land being able to showcase more of the Warner Bros properties.
