Our next event is at Ophir South on Sunday 12 April, with a start time from 10.00 to 10.30am. This is one of our favourite maps. It is a full bush event with Easy, Moderate and Hard courses. There are a few hills at Ophir, so please pace yourself and enjoy the views along the way. To find the start, follow Ophir Road north east out of Orange. At Clifton Grove turn east along Banjo Paterson Road. This becomes Lower Lewis Ponds Road and takes you through to the Ophir Reserve. Follow the orienteering signs to the start. All welcome and hope to see you there. More info below.
Goldseekers started it all way back and we're still co-organisers with the Rotary Club of Orange. GMVC 2026 is on this Sunday 29 March. All the details are on the website www.greatvolcanic.org, and you can register up until 5pm Saturday 28 March. There is the 11km trail run to the top of Mt Canobolas or the less taxing 5km Family Trail Run.
Launched in June 2025, this course is now 'live' you can enjoy orienteering any day of the year! Details on how to access the permanent course are available by going to the Permanent Course page of the website.
