goBevo
Bringing Mobility as a Service technology to the University of Texas at Austin
Our Mission
We are developing GoBevo, a mobility as a service (MaaS) transit app for UT Austin's campus. GoBevo will allow students and staff to plan multi-modal trips and use a variety of transportation modes within a single app.
What is Gobevo?
GoBevo is an all-in-one transportation prototype app for UT Austin students, faculty, and staff. By using the MaaS concept, GoBevo would allow the UT community to use a single app to plan multi-modal trips, locate and unlock micro-mobility options, and ride buses and rail
What is THE PURPOSE OF GOBEVO?
To provide students, staff, and faculty with convenient access to a variety of mobility options
To incentivize the use of alternative transportation in and around the UT campus
To decrease traffic congestion around campus
WHY YOU SHOULD CARE
Everyone wins with GoBevo!
UT Austin benefits from reduced car travel to campus
Students benefit from greater access to a variety of mobility options
The City of Austin benefits from reduced congestion and reduced carbon emissions
Transit operators will gain more users resulting in increased revenue, as well as new opportunities to serve the previously unmet need
GoBevo project overview
Phase 1
Develop the framework for creating GoBevo by determining:
UT Austin transit patterns
what MaaS level is appropriate
appropriate financing model
Phase 2
Build relationships with partners like CapMetro to provide students and staff with excellent multi-modal transit options
Phase 3 (coming soon)
Collaborate with UT administrators and students from the Computer Science department to launch the GoBevo app for use by UT students and staff
WHO ARE WE?
We are a group of graduate students in the Community and Regional Planning program at the University of Texas at Austin. We seek to improve mobility options for our fellow students by implementing cutting-edge Smart City technology on campus.
